Grow membership through creating, enhancing, and demonstrating the value of the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce to new and existing members and build increased awareness of the Chamber's purpose in the community. Our motto: "Chamber members do business with other chamber members!"

Being involved in the Membership Committee has helped Keeton's tremendously. It has provided me with several "warm" leads to prospective customers which is extremely helpful when trying to acquire new accounts. When I deliver the "Operation Thank You" packets, I'm able to introduce myself to key players at businesses and can make a follow-up call to explain what Keeton's has to offer. This reduces the number of cold calls I have to make and establishes a relationship with the customer from the beginning.

Before joining the Chamber as a member, I attended the “Wake Up Venice”, “Network Lunch”, and “Business After Five” networking events. These settings provide great opportunities to network with fun-loving, professional, and welcoming business partners who seem genuinely interested in the professional welfare of its fellow members.
In order to make the most of my membership, I decided to volunteer on the Membership Committee which has helped me both in getting to know other businesses and has resulted in some opportunities for my business. Every relationship is a give and take – and I’m happy to volunteer for a group who believes in “doing business with Chamber members”.

The Chamber helps me in many ways, principally in getting to meet prospective clients while providing me the opportunity to explain what we can do to help make their financial life easier and as cost- effective as possible. My attendance and the chance to talk about what I do raise the profile of my company to all the members of the Chamber.
There is an event for everyone, whether you are an early bird for breakfast, a lunch person or enjoy after-hours events - we have them all, each well-attended by a whole variety of active members. There is never a dull moment as the meetings are always fun and provide plenty of opportunity to network.
One of our jobs on the Membership Committee is to call and thank you for being a member - what a great job! And what great feedback we get! Just touching our members reminds them who we are and what we do and everyone is grateful that we have remembered them.
