How does marketing a franchise differ from a non-franchise business?  The answer: not much.

One of the benefits of owning a franchise is national advertising. For example, my franchisor places commercials on ESPN.

National advertising alone will not grow my business. A Sport Clips Haircut commercial on ESPN may be entertaining. Those commercials, however, can’t tell you there are four stores located in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

Just like any business, a franchise has to market in the local community to be successful.

What are my top three marketing tactics?

I love Chambers of Commerce. Chamber membership is a great way to develop genuine relationships. People do business with people they know and trust.

Google My Business (GMB) is an amazing free gift from Google. GMB is the number one online listing service.   Google uses your GMB information in your search results. GMB also contains customer reviews, which will help you acquire and retain customers. Finally, GMB Posts are great for advertising.

Giving back to the community is good business. We support Veteran’s causes, foster kids, and the American Cancer Society.
