From leadership programs like Leadership Venice and Teen Leadership, to networking events such as Coffee & Business Connections and our annual Business Expos, we create spaces where ideas flourish and relationships are built. Our educational workshops empower business owners with the tools they need to stay competitive. Behind the scenes, we actively represent local interests at every level of government, ensuring that our business’ voice is heard.

But we know that summer can bring unique challenges. That’s why we launched our latest initiative: Buying Local Pays Back—a campaign designed to keep our local economy strong during the slower months of July, August, and September.

Here’s how it works: when you shop with any business in zip codes 34285, 34293, 34292, 34275,34229, 34223, or 34272—or with any Venice Area Chamber Member simply save your receipts. For every $25 you spend, you’ll receive one entry into our $1,000 monthly giveaway. It’s our way of rewarding your loyalty to local businesses and encouraging everyone to reinvest in the heart of our community. All you have to do then is to bring those receipts to the Chamber located at 597 Tamiami Trail S. on the island in Venice across from the old hospital. Our fabulous volunteers will take it from there and help you out. Be ready to write your name many times.

Something you might not know is that the $1,000 a month giveaway isn’t funded by membership dues. It’s personally sponsored by the Board of Directors, who believe so deeply in this business community that they’ve stepped up to give back directly. That’s the spirit of Venice, people looking out for each other and building something better together.
